New BOM

I joined a new BOM called Civil War Heroes, here are the first two blocks finished. Next month will be the large applique center square.

I spent some time today reading blogs, I came across a couple that were working on their Dear Jane quilts. I was inspired to pull out mine and start working on them again, so I prepped a block to handpiece while watching TV in the evening.

Quilt Show

I finally had a chance to post some pictures of the quilts that caught my eye from the Quilter's Gathering. There were lots of beautiful art quilts, but I guess I am more of the traditional type of gal.

I have been busy cutting my scraps for my tumbler, I will post a picture when I have made some progress on that, I did manage to finish block two on my applique quilt, it is the Friendship's Garden quilt from Blackbird designs.

A Quilter's Gathering

Oh my, I did not realize so much time has gone by with no posts. I had a wonderful day yesterday, I went to A Quilter's Gathering in Nashua, NH with my sister. Lot's of fun was had, the quilts were wonderful, but the best part was the vendors. I went with a list of things that I needed and it was hard but I managed to stick to it. I bought some red, green and yellow FQ's that will go with my red and green applique that I am working on. I loved Lucy's tumbler quilt so much that of course I needed a tumbler template and I fell in love with this fabric from Jo Morton's new line Hattiesburg so I had to have that also. Tomorrow I hope to post some photo's of some of the quilts that caught my eye.
