Civil War Diaries Blocks

Yeaaaa...my book arrived today, while babysitting my grandchildren tonight I will read through it and pick out some blocks to make. I did manage to get a few blocks done without the book, these blocks are so much fun and yes they are addicting.

Civil War Diary Quilt

Oh my, another project to add to my list. After seeing everyones lovely blocks I just had to join in, so I went ahead and ordered the Civil War Diaries book from Amazon.com. I am so anxious to get started, I think I will go ahead and do some of the easier blocks while waiting for the book to arrive.

Today's Work

I sat down today and finished appliqueing the 3rd block for my Friendship's Garden quilt and then I pieced the first block to the
Web Sampler Celebration!




I have been reading alot of blogs showing the beautiful Civil War Diary blocks quite a few of the ladies are working on. I love working on civil war style quilts and really have to hold myself back from starting this one. I just have too many projects going on at this time. We will just have to see how long I can hold out, LOL.

Dear Jane Blocks

Paperpiecing is not my favorite thing to do, but I managed to complete these 2 Dear Jane blocks. I know the stripes in the star block are not straight, but I am not going to re-do it.
